Lovely little place! We were visiting Dublin from the states and glad local friends recommended it. The food was delicious and a bargain for the amount you get on your plate! The staff were also kinds and attentive. If you want a proper Irish breakfast or a traditional filling lunch this gem is the perfect place - when in Dublin it’s a must!

This was my first time in Dublin, we arrived early sat morning and wanted a good breakfast so the lady on the flower stall up the street near Camden deluxe told us about Gerry's. We all ordered different meals and was really impressed with the food. I had a full English which was delicious n not one bit of grease on the plate.. We were offered unlimited toast n coffee too. Staff were all friendly and really helpful. Would highly recommend it.

I had a lovely full Irish on a Tuesday morning. Staff were friendly and the toast was plenty. I was given a refill on my coffee also. Everything I needed to start my day. I highly recommend. A hidden jem in Dublin City. Great value!

I was keen to try a hearty Irish breakfast in Dublin and Gerry's was definitely a clear winner. Not only was the breakfast satisfying, the service was amazing. If you plan to come by on a Sat, you need to come early as the place gets very crowded by 10am+. Its a popular place among locals. I wished I had the time to try their lunches. Their menu was interesting and the prices most reasonable.

Je kunt er heerlijk, tussen de Ierse mensen ontbijten voor een redelijke prijs. Inrichting eenvoudig, personeel heel vriendelijk

Finally managed to make it to Gerrys. Had been wanting to try the large fry for quite a while and I was not disappointed. It's a serious amount of food and very tasty, especially the white pudding. Incredible value for money. Well worth a visit

Nestled between Harcourt Street and Camden Street, Gerry's is an off-the-beaten-track wonder of modern-day economics. Defence attorneys in the long-running "Dublin Is Too Dear" courtcase have used this emporium's 9 Euros 4-Course-Lunch as its OJ Simpson Glove for many years now. At either end of the phenomenally-cheap menu, there is none too much choice, with soup and wheaten bread the mandatory starter, and tea or coffee to finish, but there is always a minimum of 6 choices of main course, mostly potato and vegetable based (Brown Stew, Roast Half-Chicken, Cottage Pie) with a rice (Chilli Con Carne) or pasta (Spaghetti Bolognese) option. The absolute star choice for me is the Fresh Plaice or Haddock, which only appears when the boat comes in but is worth the patient weekly wait as it is so fresh and succulent. The desserts stay largely constant, with a range of fresh tarts (with ice-cream or cream), cheesecake and fresh fruit salad.

All-day-breakfasts are served here too, and are very popular, but for me their Lunch is King. Main courses retail for €6.50, with 2 courses for €8.

The amount of people who dine here 6 days a week (it is closed on Sundays) is staggering, but testament to its combination of good food at low prices. (I'm a twice a week man meself!) The clientele is a fascinating mix of retired civil servants, suits, DIT students, tourists and guards, all cajoled jovially by the legendary proprietor Gerry.

If you haven't been yet - go!
