Ate here today, great place. A delicious menu with lots to choose from. Spanish Harlem pizza for me, Gotham Burger for hubby and smiley face pizza for my daughter. Oh and the fries...to die for. Reasonable price which is always a bonus. Staff very friendly. Will absolutely be back soon
So it was a chance pop in and a catch up with a friend. We were seated immediately and ordered wine and water and an amazing pizza to share.. chat chat chat... second glass of wine..... I thought I asked for the same red wine... apparently not.. however the Amazingly server checked the original order and brought me the same wine... in all my years eating out this was a first and so impressed. Tips are shared so I really want to take the time to acknowledge the attention to detail. I happen to have some inside experience of pub/food/customer service and would like to congratulate the server (apologies for not getting your name) this experience will be shared over and over Thank you. 5 stars ++
yum yum yum the best food ever. so light and scrumptious. staff were friendly also
Always make a point to visit here when in Dublin, the great food, service and atmosphere keep us coming back!!
Love this cafe!! Delicious food, great menu and friendly staff! Well worth a visit!
Spent the weekend in Dublin and Gotham Cafe was the best place we dined in.. staff very friendly we where met with warmth and smiles. Menu superb great choice and food to die for!!! Will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone. Great value for money too..
With another trip to Dublin under my belt, must say how great it was to return to our favourite place Gotham cafe, fabulous food & great atmosphere it's a must.
Had a really lovely meal yesterday before going to panto. Staff were lovely, food was gorgeous and very reasonable. Definitely will be back
This jas become a frequent pit stop for me. A very well organised Cafe, always bustling, yet well trained staff attend to you very quickly.
A well chosen, minimalist style menu covers all the bases, and the food preparation attention detail is exemplary. Even the pizzas are a little bit special.
The ingredients and preparation seems to be always fresh as can be.
Recommended.
Brilliant breakfast and so happy I could bring my dog into share it with us!!

Fabulous lunch. Friendly staff. Slightly pricey for lunch but felt it was well worth it.
With quite a few intolerances to certain ingredients I find eating out very stressful. After deciding to go to Gotham during the week I was apprehensive about ordering my meals. I spoke with the waiter who asked what I wanted to eat (instead of the normal you can only have steak and chips) he was very helpful in knowing what ingredients are in certain meals. Not only was the waiter very helpful, but I was able to eat quite a lot of meals on their menu! They are very allergin friendly and the staff where great! Thanks again.
Always amazing food. Staff are exceptional. Couldn't recommend enough!
Delicious food!
Pizzas (Gramercy and Margherita) super tasty! Thai Chicken Curry also great.
Amazing dessert (black and white caramel dream)!
The atmosphere is very pleasant.
Recommended for a dinner.
Gotham is more than just a restaurant.
I passed Gotham a lot and finally had a chance to go there on a weekday. The place looks fresh and fancy. It was lunch time so I ordered their steak sandwich from lunch menu plus some juicy calamari. The calamaris were deep fried to perfection and the side sauce was delicious. The steak sandwich was super nice and tender, specially tasty sauce and came with fries. Highly recommended dish. Staff were really nice and professional. Great place to visit and will definitely come back.
Love this place. Sat outside was a lovely day. Friendly and efficient staff. To start got this appetizer with different dips which was yum. Then got a pizza and added a few topping and for some sweet potato fries. I'll be back for sure

I go to Gotham for their pizzas alone, the Chinatown pizza is such a great combination - hoisin sauce, roast duck, scallions and cucumber. I copied the recipe and make my own at home but I'm not sure it ever compares. It is probably somewhere I forget about with all the new places opening. An old reliable!
My little family visited Gotham again for lunch today. I say again because I'd say we eat there at least twice a month. It's conveniently located just off grafton st. and the service is speedy, making it perfect for a quick out of office lunch.
One of the other main draws is the staff. They are eternally welcoming even though, at the moment, myself and my husband are always joined by our 19 month old and our 3 month old which I can imagine makes many a town based restaurant quiver with fear.
The food is kind of American Italian with lovely pizzas, a selection of pastas and, my choice, sandwiches. I had the pulled pork sandwich, served on a floury bap with an interesting slaw and chips on the side. Super tasty and amazingly well priced.
For what it is, I cannot recommend Gotham more highly.
Went here just before Christmas with my family. For start we got the vegetable and meat sharing plates. They were nice and between 4 of us there was plenty for all of us to try everything. For main course I got the spinach and potato calzone with pesto and caramelised onion. The portion sizes was huge.
I really enjoyed the starter, all the meats were really flavourful. The calzone was ok, I felt like there was a lot of cheese and not a lot of the other ingredients. Overall I had a nice dinner, the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was good.
Gotham is an excellent choice for casual dining with friends. I love hitting this up mid week. The atmosphere is always good. There is great variety on the menu and is very reasonably priced so you can easily afford to splash out on a bottle of wine or two! I usually go for the guacamole for starter and big it up with the burger for main!
Great lunch deal for €9.95 where you choose a sandwich and get chips and soup of the day with it. The French onion soup was super tasty. I didn't really need the chips as the sambo was huge but they were also delish. Very busy with people on their lunch from work but will consider going back again in the evening! Pizzas sounded good and garlic prawns smelt amazing from the table next to me!
One of my favourite places for casual dining in town. I don't even look at the menu anymore as I always go for the same meal:
The garlic prawns which are a starter but I enjoy them as a main. The prawns are huge and never overcooked, with the right amount of garlic. I add a portion of chips on the side, and I am not sure what they do with these chunky chips, but they are amazing. Always crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
Finally, I can never go to Gotham without having the chocolate hazelnut brownie, it is incredible.
The staff have always been really friendly and helpful, I sometimes come here on my lunch hour and they are always really quick and efficient. The atmosphere is usually light and laid back.
It is quite affordable, and has a good selection of wine.
A gem for lunch (if you're lucky enough to get a table!) It's funny how they're so well known for their pizza's but I never order them myself. The Gotham burger, lamb burger and pulled pork are all excellent especially for the price. The staff are always exceptionally hospitable. Coffee is decent and the one time I had the cheese cake it was top notch!
Great atmosphere and top notch service. I'll be quick to return . I devoured these pork ribs in a honey drizzle. however my friends ordered from the Early Bird menu. This chocolate brownie dessert has featured in my dreams since.
Went and got me some beers and pizzzaaa 😊 I enjoyed the Gotham Cafe it had a really cool funky ambience and seemed lively and youthful! It should def be known for its wide selection of gourmet pizzas, they all look incredible if only I could have ordered them all! I think it's a really reliable place that def won't break the bank . Give it a go 👍🏽☺️
I've been here at least four times so I must like it ! really good salads /burgers and an efficient service. Great value for what you get , especially in the city centre. Its busy but you can usually walk in without having booked a table. not really a place where you would spend a couple of hours over dinner . Personally I think its a more go eat and leave place , and sometimes that can be exactly what you are looking for
Extensive menu to choose from and a wide variety of pizzas too. Would have preferred to see red meat options on the menu even though there were a lot of main course options available during lunch time. All in all lovely staff and speedy service. The gotham chicken burger was lovely.
Only my second time at Gotham Cafe but once again left very impressed. There are so many delicious options on the menu, took me ages to decide what to order! I was also pleasantly surprised to see some craft beer & cider on the menu but I guess you can find these almost anywhere now! Had a very tasty Moroccan Lamb burger with caramelised onion, tomatoes and feta. Very Flavoursome burger delivered in the perfect size making it just about edible with your hands! The food was a little slow to come out but staff handled this exceptionally well and were very apologetic. A perfect spot for Saturday brunch, and always seems to be fairly busy..
Gotham is just off grafton street. There's a great variety in the menu and it's not overly expensive, they do a good fixed priced menu too. There is usually something to suit everyone! More of casual place, good for friends or a relaxed dinner.
Been here a couple of times and always have a great experience. Food is always really tasty and fantastic service ! Very reasonable also even with a bottle of wine.
If this blog isn’t making you gain weight, you’re not reading it properly. Today, we’re taking a trip to The Gotham Cafe on South Anne Street, Dublin. A hidden gem, located just off Grafton Street, this place is definitely worth the visit. You will be greeted with quirky, retro decor and a big welcome from the really friendly staff. The Gotham Cafe is bustling with shoppers, natives and tourists alike so it’s the perfect place for a break from reality.
Myself and my fabulous friend Tanya had the good fortune to visit The Gotham Cafe on a gloriously sunny day. Therefore, we sat outdoors to enjoy the buzzing ambience of the city. Opting for the lunch menu which is great value, I selected the “Chargrilled Herbed Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich” while Tanya had the “Chargrilled Steak Ciabatta Sandwich”. Both were equally flavoursome and delicious!
First up, we have the chicken sandwich. This treat was layered on ciabatta, smothered in sweet chilli & basil crème fraîche and served with homemade fries and mixed salad. A minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips but worth every second. The chicken was succulent, the dressing was tangy and full of flavour while the bread was fresh and crispy.
So, what about the steak sandwich? Personally, I’m not a huge fan of steak sandwiches – I always find that the steak is cut too thinly and usually overcooked. However, I had a little taste of Tanya’s dish at The Gotham Cafe and can vouch for the fact that it was nothing short of delicious! The sandwich was accompanied with garlic mayonnaise, rocket, tomato, relish and homemade fries. Thinly cut, yet cooked to perfection – the steak was of the ‘melt in mouth variety’ and like my own, the fries were crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside.
All this food came in at under €20, so you won’t feel too guilty about treating yourself.
Let me know if you try it – I love hearing your feedback!

Great early bird menu! Went there on a Wednesday night and got some great food for great value! For starter I had chicken wings which some sort of satay sauce on them, and for main I had the Chinatown pizza. I would highly recommend the pizza, it is a duck pizza with hoisin sauce as the base!
This place was surprisingly delicious. There was a great menu so it was pretty tough to choose but in the end up I got the chicken and haven't looked back since. The staff were lovely and it had a great buzz about it.
Lovely place in central Dublin for an informal lunch. their pizzas are really good and staff is super friendly. We happened to be in the area and we loved the food here.
Great Early Bird Menu and very centrally located. Staff are friendly and the menu is very reasonable, same with the drinks menu. Great place for a bite to eat and a great price.
I have been to Gotham a few times and it has always been a great meal. The menu has plenty of options and great variety. The staff are very friendly and it is in such a great location. I always look forward to going back.
Came here a couple of days ago. They were unfortunately full at the moment but we got a friendly welcome from the management, put down our phone number and they would give us a ring when our table was ready - great idea! No standing around drooling over other peoples food...
Instead we went for a drink in another venue whilst waiting. Got a phone call after only 10 minutes. We had just ordered wine in the bar but they told us not to hurry, our table would still be there for whenever we are ready.
It's a great selection of food and the menu is big. We had chicken wings to start which was served in a delicious satay sauce. To follow we ordered two pizzas to share. No need to get the bigger size, the "small one" is not small at all! Service was great and we were very satisfied and very full leaving The Gotham. I'll be back shortly.
I have always had a great meal at Gotham. The menu is very varied so caters to all tastes which is great if you are not sure what you're in the mood for! The portions are ample sized so you will definitely leave full! I would definitely recommend if in the city centre.
Went here for my sisters Birthday and had a very pleasant experience. I went for an early bird which was exceptionally good value, the menu also had a great selection of dishes on it, the interior of the restaurant is very nice and suits the overall vibe of the restaurant. The service was very good and the food was quick. The only negative thing about the place is the stairs up to the bathrooms upstairs, which are a death trap if it was even slightly raining as the become extremely slippy. Looking forward to going back here soon.
Gotham never fails!
A mate from Dublin first introduced me to this little restaurant back in August and since then I've returned quite a handful of times. It's friendly staff and bubbly atmosphere make it an extremely inviting place to dine. I must admit the pizzas are second to none here. Every time I've been I have ordered the same pizza (the Brooklyn bridge) and each time it didn't fail to impress. The last time I visited here I decided to be a bit more adventurous so I ordered a started portion of the oriental chicken wings and needless to say I was more than impressed. I've recommended this place to a few different people and all have had nothing but good reviews unsurprisingly. Massive thumbs up for Gotham Cafe from me ??
I’m here to talk about pizza. Do you love pizza? I thought so. On that note, let’s continue, shall we?
A really good pizza stopped me in my tracks recently. It was lust at first sight, love at first bite. I’m not kidding; I take the Order of the Pie very seriously. I wasn’t alone in my thinking; as my two dining partners were suitably impressed. One even proclaimed that it was ‘the best pizza she ever had.’The home of my new favourite pizza is Gotham Café on South Anne Street. It’s easy to find and the location can’t be beat; it’s just off Grafton Street. Gotham is the perfect place for casual dining for family and friends alike, and they do brunch on Sundays. Sure look at these images! Crowds never lie. There wasn’t a single empty table and lots of people came looking for one throughout our time there. That’s why this review is pretty short and sweet, light on both text and pictures. I wasn’t about to try meander around busy tables and risk interrupting some poor souls intimate pizza moment.
Of course, there’s more on offer than a huge selection of woodstone oven pizzas (each one named after different New York neighbourhoods and districts) and the menu has something to suit everyone. Burgers? Check. Pasta? Check. Fish, Chicken, Steak, Salads, Antipasti? Check times five.
When you’re done trying to choose, you’ll probably have just as much trouble with dessert – cheesecake, brownies, tiramisu. No fruity dessert in sight, and you can order an affogato! My kind of place.
So in short, go to Gotham Café if you’re a fan of good atmosphere, delicious fresh food (PIZZA) and very pleasant service…and let’s be honest, who isn’t?I also enjoyed that our pizza was served with a bottle chilli oil. Surely you’ll enjoy that too. Pizzas also come in regular or large, depending on what you think you’ll be able to scarf down that day.
I ate here Saturday night with friends.. as per previous reviews I would recommend ordering a pizza. I had the spinach and baby potato calzone and while it was enjoyable, I regret my decision. It was tasty but the pizzas look delicious. The chocolate fudge brownie for dessert was amazing and the place has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend The Gotham Cafe as the price is right and the service is excellent.
A couple of friends and I went to gotham cafe for dinner last Saturday night. The menu has so much to offer I was still struggling to decide as the waitress took our order. I ended up having a spinach and caramelised onion calzone with baby potatoes. The food arrived relatively quick and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. My calzone was nice but I'd try the pizzas next time as they looked unreal. There was a good buzz about the restaurant and I'd definitely go back!
I went to The Gotham Cafe for the first time on Saturday with friends. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I got a Flatiron pizza which was delicious and one of my friends got the cobb salad which she also said was lovely. Would definitely go back and the food is very reasonably priced. Interior is also cool too.
I had dinner in Gotham Cafe a couple of weeks ago and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The staff were friendly and the service was very good. I look forward to returning!
