Wonderful middle eastern ambience and extremely polite staff. Ordered a chicken shawarma which was served with a portion of crispy fried potatoes. The shawarma was juicy and full of flavor. The fried potatoes actually won my heart because of the tangy seasoning that reminded me so much of home! Slightly pricey but worth it!
Nothing bad to say really. Nice location, amazing Lebanese food, friendly staff and very good price. I've been there once but I am sure I will return. I was with a couple of friends, so we've tried different dishes. I can't choose my favourite. Totally recomend!
Located off Dame street, this place is one of our family favourites. A regular, have been going here for past 5 years, almost every month for both lunch & dinner. One of the best Lebanese place in city. The ambience, service and most important, the food is just perfect. Kid friendly place and veggie friendly menu. Delightful staff! I just cannot begin to say how good the food is! We usually go for the Veg. Mezze which gives a taste of almost everything veggie they have on offer. Amazing flavours & wonderful variety. Do not forget to try their desserts, especially Znoud Elsit. Weekend & especially Saturday evenings are usually busy and reservations are recommended. It's generally quiet at lunch time. Love the mosaic work on the walls. Wonderful food, excellent staff. It's a big spread served with a big heart.
Had heard good things about Cedar Tree and it lived up to my high expectations. We got the Beirut Mezze for two. It was absolutely delicious. You get a lot of food so arrive hungry! The feta cheese pastry is to die for!
I just love this place....
Opt for any variation of the Mezze, add a starter & you will leave extremely satisfied!
It is quiet in the early evening but would definately need to book ahead for a late meal.
There is a really nice atmosphere in the small but cosy dining floor
Definately give it a go
Best Lebanese in Dublin. Great service. The vegetarian mezze is perfect for two people. Quiet at lunch time but needs to be booked in the evenings.
For those who like Lebanese food , this place is a must go, I have been there twice, and the place was packed. The early bird menu is a good deal and food is full of flavor.
This is a Lebanese restaurant located just off Grafton St. I absolutely love this place- food is authentic and delicious. If you're new to this type of cuisine they have "mezze" which is basically a selection of small starters so you get to try a bit of everything and then you get one main to then share between two. Great way to figure out what you like and make the most of the experience. They are brilliant at explaining everything. I've been here lots of times but hadn't been for the last few years and was so excited to go there today for an early dinner. Went for the Fatayer Spinach (spinach in pastry) for starter but tried the Falafel also. The falafel here is 10/10 and trust me, I'm fussy about falafel. For main I chose the mixed meshwe- a selection of chargrilled lamb and chicken (fillet and minced versions of both). It was sublime! Really delicious flavours of the meat and fresh herbs and it was beautifully cooked. The backlawa for dessert is excellent - not the overly sweet sticky kind you tend to get elsewhere. It was light and I could taste the hint of rosewater. The overall bill was less than €70 for 2 people with 3 courses each- and we didn't even order from the early bird which is even better value. I highly recommend this restaurant- one of my all time favourites.
Food was decent... We ordered Vegetarian Mezze 2 with main course and different varieties they severed was amazing. However, few of the delicacies were not as tasty as others, especially the main course. I found few of the dishes to be very salty or sour but I guess that is how Lebanese cuisine is. It was a Saturday night and they had a live belly dance performance which was fun!
Cedar Tree on St Andrews Street in City Centre South is a quite a delightful little restaurant for Lebanese food. This is the only Lebanese restaurant I've eaten at in Dublin, so I can't compare it to any other of its kind, but suffice to say the food here is quite superb.
I was here for lunch and opted for the lunch special, which is a starter + a main + a soft drink - all for just €11. This is quite a steal if you ask me because (a) the portions are quite generous, and (2) the food is bloody good! What more can you ask for :) I ordered the regular hummus while my friend had the one that came with yogurt and chips. Creamy and perfectly seasoned, the hummus was as good as any I've ever had - and that's saying quite a bit since I've traveled extensively and have had hummus at multiple Lebanese restaurants across the world.
For the mains, my friend had the spiced chicken, which he said was very good indeed, and I had the lamb harra - spiced meatballs in a rich tomato gravy with sliced onions and spices, served with rice. It was divine! Wonderfully flavoured and filling, the lamb absolutely rocked! The service, like at most Lebanese restaurants, was always with a smile, and overall, it was a wonderful experience we had here.
Pretty good lebanese food. I was in here for lunch the other day and took advantage of their lunch special. It was a great deal with €11 getting me a starter, main, and a soft drink. I had the homous to start and the spiced chicken for my main. The place was nice with lots of seating. Although it's not quite as good as some of the othe Lebanese restaurants in Dublin, the lunch menu is great value. I'll definitely be back for a quick and tasty lunch.
