Best sandwich shop in town! Really tasty made-to-order sandwiches with interesting fillings, salads, and yummy treats. Friendly and efficient staff. There's a really long queue at lunch every day but it moves incredibly fast. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing sandwiches, great service, not too fussy, and speedy enough considering all the business they get. Pastries and cookies not to be missed also - best croissant I've ever eaten and the oat coconut cookies shall be my demise. If they did a loyalty service on sandwiches as well as coffees I don't think I'd ever eat anywhere else

The queue outside had me excited as I walked up the lane to the Greenbench. I got the falafel wrap and squash soup, which was only 7 euro. I was happy with the soup but I literally cannot stand when there is cous cous inside a sandwich. I ate it all though and was so full. All my friends were much happier with their meat options, so maybe it just isn't the best place for a veggie to lunch :(

This is one of the very famous sandwich cafes in Dublin, specially for a casual lunch. It is really busy for lunch during weekdays but they have a great fast pace service. There menu usually contains 5 sandwiches, from chicken, beef, pork, ham or turkey and some vegetarian options, but the fillings changes daily. Also you can get them on white, brown bread or wraps. It is a definite recommended place and you will be better going earlier than 12:00 for lunch. It is only a take away restaurant, but there is Stephen's green park close by if the weather allows for sitting out.

Cant say enough about this place. Small menu but everything they do, they do well. The staff are efficient and so nice. The pulled pork sandwich with Asian slaw and their sausage sandwich are my two favourites, the menu changes everyday but you honestly cant go wrong. Filling and fairly priced-last time I went €5.50 for a sandwich or €6.50 for sandwich and side salad. If they have doughnuts when your in (they don't always) go for one- unbelievable stuff!

This is my regular lunch spot. With a menu that changes daily, boasting all homemade fresh produce, there isn't many lunch spots that could rival this. Their sausage rolls on a Friday are a perfect treat to end the week. The staff in green bench also get to know their customers and are always happy to tailor their sandwiches/salads to my taste!!

The Green Bench Cafe is like Mary Poppins: practically perfect in every way.

Not to sound like a total girl, but I was basically having a fat day, and craving all the carbs. I saw that Niall Harbison had given this place a rave review, and I have to say thank you Niall for telling me the right place to go to curb those cravings.

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, an americano and a donut, taking the time waiting for my order to take in my surroundings.

The place is TINY! there had better be room on that bench, otherwise you're going to find somewhere to have a picnic, cos you ain't eating it in there. There is a small ledge, but let's be honest, that's for a quick stir of your coffee. I certainly couldn't imagine trying to eat lunch in there during a busy midweek lunchtime. That being said, I had a great view of the staff at work, watching them freshly prepare dough.

The pulled pork sandwich was just so juicy and moreish. I am actually still dreaming about how tender that meat was. I licked the paper it was wrapped in, it was so good.

The doughnut was a pleasant surprise as I had never had a fresh vanilla cream doughnut dipped in caramel before. It's incredibly filling, so took me while to get through it, but ya, perfect period food.  I'm also glad to say that the americano was just as tasty as you would get in any specialist coffeeshop.

Fantastic little café, 100% worth the hype.

I wish I could marry the Green Bench Café.

The Green Bench Cafe is my go-to place for al fresco lunches in the nearby Iveagh Gardens. Their Pulled Pork Sandwich is a luscious thing of beauty - thick lightly-toasted thick bread, deliciously tender and moist pulled pork, with asian slaw and rocket. Utterly mewtiful!

I always go for the sambo and side-salad combo which is extremely reasonable at just €6.50. The side-salad is a tasty mix of sweet potatoes, lentils, nuts, leaves, tomatoes and pomegranates, but varies from day to day. I also have had a slice of their Baked Cheesecake, which is filling and gorgeous.

Expect lengthy queues from 12 to 1.30pm, but the queue does move quickly. The service is ultra-friendly given the amount of people that they serve.

A must-try if you haven't yet been!

Can't rate green bench highly enough. A great lunch spot, take away only and be prepared for a queue, well worth it though! They only do a few things, but do them really well. Sandwiches, salads, soups, all changed daily and all with a healthy yet tasty vibe. You won't find any preservatives or E numbers here. It's all about fresh good food. The coffee is great and I hear their sausage rolls in a Friday are the stuff of dreams. Also the guys who work there are lovely, always a plus. A few more branches would be ideal 😊

Easily the best sandwich you will get in Dublin. Menu changes regularly so you are always in for a delicious surprise. The only down side is there is no seating here, however if it's a fine day grab your sandwich/soup and head across to the Iveagh Gardens (2 min walk) and eat in beautiful surroundings there.

Anyone who works on Harcourt or Camden street knows how good green bench is. I go often and it never disappoints. I had the beef today, it was delicious, but all the options are amazing. Simple put, it's a must try. Don't let the queues put you off, they move as fast as the the delightful staff do!

The best sandwich in Dublin, hands down. No matter which one, the fresh ingredients and bread just work. Personal faves are the breakfast sambo and the sausage and rosti on a Friday. Lovely salads too if sambos aren't your thing. Crazy queues every day so get there early!!

Green Bench, located just off Wexford Street, is famed for their sandwiches, and for good reason. This tiny little take-away deli has queues out the door every lunchtime. Their menu changes daily, with a different take on ham, beef, chicken, and vegie, sambos and two soups offered. I went for the baked ham sambo, stuffed with chilli cheddar cheese, avocado, curry mayo, and rocket. All I can say is 'Wow!' Seriously tasty food all 'round, I cannot wait to go back here, again and again. Yum.

The best sandwich in Dublin in my opinion. It’s absolutely amazing and they slightly twist the choice of sandwiches everyday which keeps things interesting. Its constantly really busy because of the high quality and be prepared for a 10-15 minute que at peak times but it’s well worth it. They have a great salad bar and also 2 choices of delicious soup everyday. If you’re a sandwich fan , its got to be sampled!  Really nice staff also!

Green Bench is tucked away between Camden Street and Harcourt Street but the massive lunchtime queues are a giveaway to its location - this tiny cafe churns out sandwiches in their droves every single day. Freshly roasted meat (the pulled pork is the most popular), amazing salads and incredible bread make for a seriously special lunchtime experience. The daily special hot pots are also worth a mention - they sell out extremely fast but if you get in early you’re guaranteed a delicious filling treat.
