Lovely pub with very friendly staff and they were very kind to allow all us participants in the mini marathon to use their toilet facilities before the race as a lot of other premises wouldn’t let us in, and because of that we called there for a very welcome drink after . Thank you very much to Doheny Nesbitts!!!!
An authentic Irish pub. Great food. Bartenders and servers were spot on. Very accommodating. One of the best meals/experiences we had all week!
Absolutely fantastic night. The staff were so attentive. Special night Ann O'Reillys 40th and what a way to kick start it. Great atmosphere and top service

What a full of character pub..., went there two days in a row with different friends, the staff were very attentive & friendly ....I will definitely go back again if in Dublin
Arriving Friday evening and not wanting to travel to far from the hotel, we checked out some local pubs. Downey Nesbitts was the first pub we found and what a find, the staff and the locals were very welcoming and friendly, so much so we when back prior to leaving for home. The guy behind the bar was right on it and we’ll up for the craic, the meals were spot on and we all left wishing we were ther for another night. Not in the city centre but very worthwhile the short bus trip (39A) to Bagott Street, keep doing what your doing, we’ll be back.
We love the place, great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff, we go in every time we go to Dublin x
Great spot for a few pints and pub food.
First time in Ireland and this is the reason I came. The food, fun, and conversation are non-stop. Joe, the bartender upstairs is a national treasure! You will not be disappointed!

Loved this place! Very hospitable bar tender that let us in on some Irish tips and tricks to Ireland and Irish drinks. Food was delicious and the drinks were better. Definitely stop here if you're in Ireland!
Doheny and Nesbitt is exactly the type of pub you'd expect to find on Baggot street. It's got an old school interior, with a variety of beer and whiskey paraphernalia adorning the walls with framed rugby jerseys pretty much everywhere you look. The crowd you get in is a mix of auld lads in suits at the bar young professionals taking up tables for a quick few pints after work. The occasional tourist will flutter in like a moth to an old timey Irish pub flame too. The selection of beer is pretty standard, with a couple of dull craft beers like Galway Hooker and O'Hara's pale ale. It certainly has its charm, but can't quite make up its mind as to whether it wants to be a high end bar or an old school pub. I had a couple of pints of Guinness which were fairly standard, the staff were great and the atmosphere had a nice laid back vibe. A nice, handy pub, but probably nothing worth going out of your way for.
Doheny and Nesbitt is an institution - it’s the kind of pub that appeals to all ages and is always jam packed with an excited after work crowd of a Friday night. Don’t let that put you off, a great buzz and the nicest bar staff in Dublin mean this is a brilliant pub to while away an evening in. They show all sports on tv and pour a perfect Guinness.
