Incredible experience. Very rich brunch and such a lovely decoration with attention to all the details. It was a pleasant surprise, my next time in Dublin, avoca will be on the list.
Had to wait to get a table on drizzling Saturday morning. One of the best breakfast I had in recent times. Pancakes were amazing and so was my mocha. Relaxing environment but busy too. Will visit again....
P.S - also do try poached eggs with avocado...
It’s funny, I’m in here frequently enough, but have never sat down and ate. I usually go in and grab something small to go!
My ultimate sweet treat is a GIANT Avoca plain scone, take it home and lash on the jam and cream!
They are delicious and I am thrilled that for once, my scone doesn’t end up in pieces after having to pick all the fruit out!

The perfect place to go for a lovely breakfast. We had blueberry and pecan pancakes with mixed berry compote and poached eggs with toast and salad.
The pancakes were really fluffy and soft and poached eggs were perfectly cooked. It's a nice place to have some good breakfast on a lazy day.

Since I’ve been warned that you absolutely must schedule a time to get a seat in Avoca’s Cafe – I did as advised and we got ourselves a table. As you enter, there’s a shop that displays unique and high quality Avoca merchandise on the ground floor. On the 1st floor up there’s more high quality merchandise of clothes and really good fabrics.
I went here for lunch on a weekday. The cafe is decorated with old furnitures and it's half full. Menu is really simple and staffs were really friendly and service was quick. I ordered the lamb burger with a glass of lemonade. The burger comes with three dips(hummus, tzatziki and ketchup, more than enough) and chips and it was perfectly cooked. The lemonade was nice but a bit watery for my taste.
Always busy when I arrived. Their pancakes are my favourite thing, I do find their lunch/dinner menu limited (just a personal preference). Staff are friendly, it's in a unique location/store and it has character.
Such a handy spot to go for your lunch break! Wide selection of salads, sandwiches and pretty much anything to choose from. All suitable to take away, as you fill the salads into boxes yourself, ensuring you get what you want. Lovely cakes and treats there, very tempting. Got a nice Asian superfood salad, noodles and a Cajun chicken wrap, couldn't finish it so was able to bring it home with me. Really cute decor and white walls making the place nice and bright.
Always a treat. On the expensive side but the food is always top notch in both the cafe and the food hall downstairs. The cheese and sun dried tomato scones kept me going through college Dropped by as was unexpectedly in the area today. Had a pick a mix salad - loved the beet salad especially.
Visited this morning for coffee and got very tempted by the treats and ended up having a delicious cookie. The coffee is really good.
The food looks fantastic (from snooping at the other diners' plates) even the soup looked great and came with a variety of breads to try.
It is, similar to the shop, a little over priced but for me it's worth it for the yummy food and nice atmosphere. In the absence of bewleys I think this is a cafe that is quite iconic and consistently good
The perfect place for a special meal. Been here many times and I've never left disappointed- the food is fresh and delicious, staff are extremely professional and the atmosphere in general is lovely. Highly recommend!
I have been here a couple of times for lunch, food is hearty and rustic. The breads and scones are like if they were baked in a country kitchen. Staff are very friendly and the service is fast and efficient. If you are in town and want comfort food I would highly recommend here.
Avoca Cafe is a great spot located on the top floor of the store it can be accessed by lift or by stairs! They have a small menu that is quite diverse, combined with a lot of cakes and buns! I went for a white onion, potato and Parmesan soup which was delicious, and I also got sweet potato fries which were equally as good! A vocal tend to go all out to give you a good experience adding cucumber and mint leaves to every jug of water! Our waiter was excellent and didn't miss out on any detail as well as being extremely friendly and polite. They also have a food hall on the bottom floor of the cafe so you can take a salad with you for on the go, or something to heat up at home.l
Went to avoca cafe (underneeth avoca) this morning and was really impressed. Usually when im here its packed with people around 12/1 and its impooossible to find a seat, however this morning I went at 10 and it was pleasently empty!
I ordered a cappuccino on skimmed milk, and my friend ordered a hot chocolate and brownie. My cappuccino was one of the best Ive tried, and at 1.50 it couldnt be flawed.
The brownie (although it was so early!) was nonetheless amazing. Crispy on the outside and slightly moist and soft in the middle, nicest brownie ive had in a long time.
Although Avoca is renowned for being expensive, for a coffee and a brownie its normal price for Dublin city centre!
I originally wanted to visit the cafe but it was too busy and I couldn't get a seat so I went downstairs to the food Hall. There's lots of salads to make up a box or pies and quiches you can heat up. I went after lunch which may have been a bad idea as I really fancied a sandwich but they were out of bread and only had wraps left. I tried the honey roast ham in a wrap with mixed leaves, mustard and mayo. It was tasty but I thought there would be more choice to add to the wrap like tomato, cucumber etc. The ham made it worth the money at €6.95 but the option of bread would have been nice. It was only 2pm!

For a very long time, I used to just come into Avoca for the shop upstairs. I loved its quirkiness. Then one day I decided to ramble down to their food section and discovered a whole little cafe underneath the shop, and have been popping in for a quick lunch ever since. It's at its best if you just want quick food to go, as you can grab a takeaway box and fill with whatever salad / hot dish you like. Generally speaking its quite a health focused cafe, so there's loads of tasty veggie options around, and for dessert there's plenty of cakes and sweet treats to choose from. I picked the butternut squash salad plate myself, but my friend Isobel decided to go for the falafel. Both excellent choices. There were some coffees and custard tarts thrown into the mix for afterwards, and we left very happy customers, if not a tad stuffed. The only warning I'd give about the place is to be careful not to let your hungry stomach do too much of the guiding towards portion size - the salads are sold based on weight, and its all too easy to overfill your box and then be left with a hefty bill for your lunch. That happened me once, and I was left eating my lunch for the rest of the day (and it stayed in the fridge again for a day or two after...).
Aside from that, it's a cute little place to meet friends and grab a coffee.
The food and atmosphere in avoca were perfect as usual! You're safe ordering anything off the menu. Yesterday we went for the butternut squash fritters which came with the most gorgeous dips! And the vegan salad was delicious (and light). The only fault was that the service was a little slow but understandable as it was very busy. Saying that the staff are always so helpful and friendly.
Well, we certainly weren't the only ones with the bright idea to get fed at this beautiful spot one sunny August Saturday... the place was rammed!! Having said that, after eating there I have absolutely no question as to why: its perfect. The setting is perfect, the food is perfect, service is perfect.... have I said it enough?
I was so impressed with this place (... as you can tell!) it was the last of the Avoca cafes that I had to check out & I would have to say that I unwittingly left the best till last; the food in all Avoca's restaurants is undeniably faultless but, the setting on which this cafe is built just sets it apart from the rest.
This place is ideal for any special occasion from a girlie brunch to a mother's day lunch to celebrating a friends birthday in style. The room is so bright & airy with windows as far as the eye can see.... if you are a lady who lunches or, a block who brunches you need to get yourself down here. Just make sure you book a table!
Never disappoints! The soup and bread is great for lunch and one of my faves! They give a selection of different breads too which is great. The desserts are also to die for
I adore Avoca! Fresh, filling and tasty food. I particularly love their soup and you can enjoy that with a choice of Avoca breads - my favourite is the fruit bread!
They also have a massive selections of cakes and scones, all of which are amazing! iI usually try a new cake every time I go, however my personal favourite is the baked cheesecake with caramel - YUM!

Love this place. Love the whole shop and all the departments as well as the cafe and food hall. The food is always fresh and appetising. Salads are bright and vibrant and very creative. The cakes are the big draw for me though. I am slowly working my way though them all. Their scones are some of the best in Dublin and I love their smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels. It is quite pricy though but the quality of the food and ingredients are top notch.
Absolutely love avoca ! The food is always so fresh. It's the perfect place to go for any meal , whether it's breakfast lunch or dinner. The salads are to die for I always end up brining a box home. It's hard to leave without getting a dessert so much to choose from! It's definitely a place to go even if it's just for a coffee, the Malahide cafe can be very busy at the weekends but you'll always find a seat!
most amazing chicken caeser salad its so big you really can just get it to share for two people . they give you a full half chicken . Beautiful. I've gotten the soup before too. The coffees are great. good catch up place for lunch . Never tried the breakfast
Went here for breakfast the other day, first time here and first time in a non self service avoca. Have to say I prefer the one in malahide for the atmosphere outside but the food was still lovely and service was very good. We went for the poached eggs and the homemade granola. They even gave top up of filter coffee.

I love avoca, I walk in and it just feels chilled and cute and there's a lovely sense of irishness about it without being cheesy. The restaurant in Suffolk street in on the top floor, there's food to go in the basement, and the levels in between hold lovely things to purchase, books, blankets, stationary. We went for breakfast this morning, I was meeting my friend for an early Saturday breakfast. The cafe has the type of decoration I love, mismatched, pattern wallpaper, warm furnishings, even little quote plaques on the table. I had blueberry and macadamia nut pancakes, gorgeous. My friend had mushrooms on toast with some poached eggs, they tasted fantastic. Lovely atmosphere with people arriving in for breakfast, reading papers etc. Really lovely spot!
finally got a chance to have lunch here today. I had the butternut squash and sweet potato fritters with a selection of dips and pita bread which was really good and different. my friend had the pea and mint soup. They also have a wide range of delicious homemade desserts. We had the lemon cake which was very tasty. The staff were all very friendly. I can't wait to return and try something different on their menu
Delicious food with amazing presentation. Lovely homemade lemonade. Really nice atmosphere, would be a great place to take your mam for lunch. Usually quite busy, it's nice if you can get a wee seat beside the window. Little bit expensive but worth it.
I've heard many good things about the cafe at Avoca and I finally got to see what all the fuss was about on Sunday. The numerous flights of stairs don't seem to put people off, as we reached the top there was a queue of people waiting for a table. We waited roughly 10 minutes on some comfy couches for a table to free up. The place was packed and the room was quite big so they must have some very busy chefs.
The brunch menu has lots to offer such as pancakes, porridge, French toast, a full Irish, you name it! I ordered the homemade granola with greek yogurt and mixed berry compote. The food arrived relatively quick and nicely presented. The granola was lovely and crunchy containing lots of nuts. The only downside was that there was little yogurt and far too much of the mixed berry compote. I watched the food going to other tables and I'm afraid I made the wrong choice. The staff were friendly and very on the ball. I would definitely return to try something else on the menu!
