So this is our 4th time to stay in the Ambassador hotel and Mcgetticans Cookhouse and bar in Cork. I have come here everytime with my partner and it feels like our own secret retreat when we need to get away and unwind and just be pampered it feels like our second home and we are treated like family here all the staff are so lovely and helpful, the food is just to die for with a great selection reasonably priced and most importantly you always go out of the restaurant feeling stasified. For me and my partner the Ambassador and Mcgetticans are the greatest hidden gem that Cork has to offer. But i cant finish this review without giving a huge shout out to Brona in Mcgetticans, David the assistant manager and Rhona the reservations manager they are amazing they look after us like we are one of their own family and definatly a bring reason for why this place is soo great. So if your looking for comfort great food and great service you wont find anywhere better then the Ambassador and mcgetticans cookhouse

Had a few drinks & a lovely family meal here last night. Service was great, loved the layout and decor of the restaurant and food was delicious. They have a large outdoor terrace, perfect for sunny days. The pre theatre menu is great value, 2 courses for €19.95. Would highly recommend if living in or visiting Cork
Had a fabulous night last night with my husband & friends! Fabulous location, food was gorgeous and staff were excellent! I would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be back!! ��
Amazing food we will be back! Staff are lovely the atmosphere is great I loved it here. The manager has done and continues to do an excellent job every thing he touches turns to gold 😉thanks again guys ☺
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. The servers are all so friendly. Definitely will be going here again.

This was one of the great pubs we ate in while in Ireland. They were friendly and the food was delicious! Irish whiskey was my drink of choice.
I've been visiting this lovely restaurant pretty much every other week since January and I've always had a perfect meal! Not only is the food delicious and fantastically presented but the atmosphere and decor are warm and inviting, very comfortable. The staff are also brilliant, always friendly and chatty and nothing is too much trouble. Always enjoy my stay at The Ambassador thanks to both the hotel and McGettigans Cookhouse & Bar in Cork. Had a meal there on thursday with my family and was very impressed. The food was fabulous and the portions were very generous. The service was impecable. Would highly recomend a meal there.
Awesome seafood chowder in a warm, but modern atmosphere. Service was attentive and quick! Would definitely come back when I'm in Cork!

Thank you all so much for everything while my mum and myself stayed with yourselves in the hotel... every single person we met so friendly and kind always with a smile ... the romantic in me loved the decking area at night by candlelight... ;)
There is an amazing atmosphere and the food and drinks yummy yum.. all done with care and presented stunningly and professional. Thank you to you all.. credit to the restaurant hotel and yourselves.. Thank you for the amazing memories .. will definitely be planning another visit .. :)

One of the MOST ENJOYABLE times we ever had . The food was delicious and was well presented and very artistic. The staff was top notch. Thank you for making our 40th anniversary very memberable.
