Excellent food served by lovely, friendly staff. We went for lunch as a couple and then brought 3 extra for dinner. Love the fish chowder particularly and the monkfish is to die for. Thanks guys and gals
Just stopped for a flying visit to grab a quick lunch. Had an amazing warm chicken salad. Service perfect as always! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Stopped off for lunch here and well. Amazing! The food was incredible. I had a crab and prawn cake as a starter. And then the wild Atlantic way special. Devine! Would highly recommend this place. Staff were polite, attentive and lovely.
Was there last Thursday Night 24/11. The meal was fantastic, the staff were excellent, kind and friendly. Would recommend to all my friends and family. Will be back soon. Thanks again for the fab meal.
Next time you are travelling from Cork to Bantry take the rather circuitous by pass because you are rewarded by passing The Poacher's Inn. A pit stop there is always well rewarded. On my last visit I listened to a table of septuagenarian lady regulars on the next table threaten to "box the ears" of their charming waiter if he brought them too much mashed potato. I sought to commiserate but he defended them loyally - "They're grand!".
Seafood is the lead player in this smart roadside eatery with more space inside than you would expect. There is always a good selection of fresh from the market fish and the wine list is well thought out and good value.
All stall are charming - not just to their septuagenarian regulars- and I strongly recommend a visit.
Absolutely exquisite. There were 4 adults and a 2-year-old in our party and not 1 complaint between us. We had a variety of dishes from steak to chicken to fish and goujons for my grandson. The food and service were exceptional and the cost was very reasonable
