Last night myself and 4 of my friends took the lovely table by the window at Venezia Restaurant in Dunlo Street Ballinasloe. Formerly a street known for the landmark Haydens hotel in bygone days, this new and very welcome charm is a throwback to the good old days of Dunlo Street. The staff here are very warm and friendly and were very helpful with our orders. Each of us had a question or had some small requests which was met with ease and each of us got exactly what we ordered. We ordered 2 starters to share between us and for mains we ordered 2 pasta dishes (mine being the tagliatelle carbonara) and 3 pizzas. Each of us enjoyed our main dishes and for me the pasta was just at the right temperature and had lovely flavours. There was great buzz when the pizzas arrived as they are very generous with a lovely soft homemade base. We were informed by one of the waitresses that there are take away boxes to take home. This turned out to be a great idea for the pizzas, as it left room for desserts! We ordered cheese cake, tiramisu, pear and almond tart, gelato and the honeycomb ice cream. Everyone was delighted with their choices. The toilet facilities are immaculate and the restaurant was very cosy. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and there was a good buzz. There was no pressure to leave quicly so we could relax for a bit after eating. It is a great addition to Ballinasloe town. Did I mention the wine - there is lovely wine menu to suit all tastes and the Pino Grigio was very popular :-). I wish all the staff and owners the very best and congratulate them on a very pristine establishment, long may it last!

We have been here twice the last 2 wks for family dinners!! Both times we have been here & the place was so busy which is always a good sign!! The restuarant itself is lovely, warm & inviting. Ive had the pizza & a pasta dish!!! The food is witout a doubt fantastic, plenty of it & so very tasty!! The staff are all friendly & helpful. Its great to see them doing so well long may it last!

I have never written a restaurant review before but I had to write this one because the steak I had here this evening was just perfect! The staff were so friendly and the food was exceptional. I wish ye all the very best for the future and long may ye prosper!

Had lunch there today & have to say it was excellent - fabulous food, great service - couldn't fault it!! Will def be back. Well done - great addition to the town. �
